Bf4 honest opinion.

Unread postby trooph » 13 Oct 2013 10:17

So i've been playing BF4 open beta since the 1st hour on october the 1st...
It had its problems with very high CPU loads and low GPU loads. A lot of stutters and crashes...
But... With built in game VOIP and Commander it feels much closer to our beloved BF2.
THey are gathering feedback from comunity on the forums. Maybe they will add supply drop and resuply points in few months time as a regenerative ammo pool is just sooo s**t...
Overall i think this game is more worth the money than BF3 was still.. we should get all of that with BF3...
I would have bought it already if not my luck, my headset broke and i really need a decent one so i spent all my BF4 money for a SB tactic3d sigma. So whenever i can i'll be buying this last title from EA, atleast untill they improve their marketing tactics and stop being greedy fu^@ers
I know Gunnerz and Dunem will be playing it... ANyone else? I dont think theres need for our own server to be up and running. I think we just need a platoon and some old members get togheter and have fun on any other server that will be avaliable.
If U dont have me on ur Origin add me up just look for Trooph :)

When everything goes wrong I blame Subblaze :P

I've played the beta, I like what I've seen, but I'll have the money for it probably next year.

Have played the released game now for about 5 hours and here is my opinion

The game is much better then the beta version was, it still crashes a lot although with the latest server patch it has been reduced a fair bit. I can not play further then mission 5 in the singleplayer. But now the positives. It runs smoother then bf3 did, in bf3 I had the feeling that the head of my soldier was behind the body, I felt a slight delay in controls basically everything you feel when it is a port from a console game. In bf4 I don't have that at all, I have direct response. My graphics settings are all set to low but it still looks fantastic. Frame rate is at a stable 70 fps and no lag at all. 5 man squads are sweet and it is good for eSport that there is a spectator mode. The game feels a lot more like battlefield 2 compared to battlefield 3. Levolution is fun, suddenly you see a part of a hotel crashing down next to you and also some smaller buildings that completely collapses.

All in all very good game, just waiting for the first client patch to fix all the crashes because they are annoying.

I hope that more UK warfare member will buy the game and that we can play together =].

Greetings Micro.

Just downloading the Digital Deluxe edition on Origin now. I'm loathe to use origin but it seemed to be the quickest and most convenient way to get the game because apparently I didn't see it on steam.

23 Gigabytes though? hopefully it will be downloaded and installed properly by the time you guys all get online later today. I just hope I haven't wasted my money like I felt I did with BF3

Saw you online in the vent channel earlier but you left shortly after. I had some games with Breeze and Riz and I have to say it feels much nicer than BF3. I don't really like hardcore mode much but part of that will be because i'm not familiar with the maps or the ammo count in the weapons, on which, harcore mode gives you none of these.

So far, something i'd recommend getting.

A heads up on the ammo count Bee. The standard Hardcore preset makes it so when you reload a full clip is taken out of your ammo count.

I'm quite enjoying it i think. Not so sure on the maps still finding it weird playing at so many different levels on one map.

One thing i hate is the amount of damn snipers. They're everywhere. Already rumours going around that we might be putting a sniper limiter on the WAR server.

not a problem for me. I never played snipers in BF2 and i'm workign my way through a type 88 at the moment to get the Pecheneg. Always been a support guy but there's never any damn good tools for fending off anything heavier than a humvee or buggy.
