chinook are amazing they fly like my ex
and that yamalia map is sweet when you are in the btr-80's
me and dutchie had a kdr of 38-4

my first chinook experience wasn't so good (realplayer :) ). And the new maps tend to lagg quite a bit. Sort of Qinling style.

Well what can one say...............

Hell of a fine effort by the PR crew but in their efforts to make a perfect Reality game i think they may have gone over board,

First off, the usual......... Lagg Lagg and then more bloody Lagg, turn the settings down helps but still the graphics look s**t now,

Then there is the constant crashing which is annoying to say the least,

Canadian side is s**t, no iron sights,

Rally points have turned an effective 6 man squad into a 4 man squad as the SL + 1 has to stay to the rear so a rally can be deployed if required, and considering the size of some of these maps very irritating

had some good games though but kinda miss .87, on the PR forums folk with high end machines are complaining about the lag,

think things will improve once the admins can do their stuff too as alot of idiots seem to be on at the moment

I missed the sky part xD.

Does any one know a good map where chinooks spawn from the start? I want to be able to fly that huge beast =). I tried a few maps but the only one I'm sure there is a chinook on, has a delay for the spawn.

Pretty happy with it so far myself, even back on the AAS servers checking the new maps.

Had a real good game on our server on silent eagle coordinating CAS strikes with the new marker system.

New kits are great, weapon improvements are solid, graphics update and general massive new variety of the game make it feel like your going to get something really different with each new map.

Downsides are the more regular crashes and occasional performance bugs.

Oh and canadians rock no sh*tty forced ironsights for medic and specialist =D

well after numerous attempts i managed 2 play and feel the reality side of the game has gone out the window as quite a few of the aas(ASS) maps are trees trees and more fing trees then undergrowth after undergrowth (one example of an unrealistic map is the one where the British have the bid refinery/docks area in the middle of the woods if some 1 can find me where a massive docks have been built in the middle of woods i will retract statement but in till then WTF is it about?)


running ur graphics so low is also a ball ache as a few of u know i have had numerous failures i had no clue existed and have had 2 have remote assistance 2 get my machine working again (BTW thanks for all ur help tom much appreciated)


foliage view distance is a big issue now as the game engine is no way designed for it and will only cause problem after problem (dunem tryed the new foliage on his map and guess what LAG LAG LAG) things like this should no be used on a engine that cant cope with it.


GOOD POINTS

weapons are a good improvement. higher caliber sniper rifles finally when u shoot some one they die and not just spin and look at u

vehicles are looking better :P

tanks can finally climb hills

will update if i find any more good points

ive played it once dont like it much but ill take your word 4 the lag seems most people r getting issues with that .... you'll get an army in pc shops soon buying new graphics cards LOL

So far I've enjoyed what little i have managed to play, seems the FOB and the rally point has confused things slightly and commander becomes more important. Not too sure on some of the maps (Yamalia!!) Korengal seems to be a nightmare if you don't get out of the outpost too many people taking sniper kits then losing them causing mass murder in the outpost.

The hamas kits are cool looking, the merkava tank is a monster to kill but had some good battles.

The kits lying around can be a little confusing.

I have no problems with Lag :) PC is coping very well.
