Wake Island makes a come back thanks to The Sir. Community and appears alongside a brand new map new to Battlefield created by Jason Brice, Operation Shingle. Also, for those who prefer to fight on foot, we have added a No Vehicle option to a number of maps to allow you to fight without worrying if you’ll come face to face with a Battle Walker. Also, as requested by match broadcasting groups we have separated the Commanders voice volume from the Sound Effects so you can keep the explosions and gun fire without the Commander interrupting the broadcast.

The Beta update is an incremental file, to take part in the Beta you must have Battlefield 2142 version 1.40 or Battlefield 2142 Deluxe installed.

Wake Island is ok; they need to do the light mapping for the map as the trees have no shadow. Another useful tip for those who don't have titan attack gold, as you kill next to the titan in the titan bay you accrue either titan attack or defense points depending on which side your on. There are no off limit areas inside the titan compared to the titan in titan mode, such as being able to enter the core via going thru corridor 1. Operation shingle is an expanded version of camp Gibraltar with lots nice high points for snipers, in other words a snipers paradise map for 2142. try the beta, it's worth the crack.

For those of you who wish to play both patches all you need to do is copy the battlefield 2142 folder (C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142) and paste it into the same directory (C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts), you will have a folder called copy of battlefield 2142. Open that folder and right click on the battlefield 2142.exe and create a shortcut, then rename the shortcut bf2142 1.4 and drop that onto your desktop. Then run the beta patch. Once done click on the normal shortcut to run the beta and the bf2142 1.4 to continue playing on the current patch witch most servers are running.

Could we actually be getting our hands on the much rumoured PC version of Battlefield 3? Why would GAME allow for pre-order of Battlefield 3 if there was no word from DICE / EA about it. All been well, we wont have too long to find out. If Battlefield 3 is due for the PC this year, then we will certainly be seeing more official information direct from EA in the coming months. We will be keeping a close eye on the developments of the all wanting, all needed PC version of Battlefield 3.

Take on the challenge of leading one of over 50 European national teams to glory as UEFA EURO 2008 recreates all the drama and excitement of the official tournament. A new game mode called Captain Your Country will enable gamers to put themselves on the pitch, earn the captaincy of their team and truly inspire their country to glory. Gamers will also be able to celebrate their success on-field through interactive celebrations that will add to the pageantry and atmosphere of the event. In addition, an online mode call Battle of the Nations will enable gamers around the world to lead their country to global supremacy.

UEFA EURO 2008 is developed by EA Canada in Burnaby, B.C. It is scheduled for worldwide release on the Xbox 360, the PLAYSTATION 3 and PlayStation 2, and the PSP. It will also be available for PC and mobile in Europe. UEFA EURO 2008 is rated “E” for Everyone by the ESRB and 3+ by PEGI.
